2018 \”Show Me the Constitution\” Competition

Scott Vorhees Helps High School Students Prepare for Dec. 2018 “Show
Me the Constitution” Contest

At Johnson, Vorhees & Martucci, we are doing our part to help form
the generation of great legal minds.
Attorney Scott J. Vorhees is currently helping students on the Joplin High School Constitution Team
prepare for the annual Show Me the Constitution competition, set to take
place in Columbia on December 3, 2018. “Gaining a respect and understanding
of our Constitution is important for all citizens, especially students,”
says Vorhees. The JHS Constitution Team won the 2017 We the People state
competition and, with Vorhees’ help, they hope to be as prepared
as possible for the mock congressional committee hearings in this year’s contest.

We are proud to play a role in the intellectual formation of Joplin students
by imparting constitutional understanding and interpretive skills to the
teens and young adults involved in the Show Me the Constitution competition.
We are also pleased to participate in fulfilling the mission of The Missouri
Bar Foundation by helping future attorneys develop a lifelong appreciation
for the United States Constitution and all that it represents.

Behind the Scenes

Client Story: Brain Trauma & Medical Negligence

As injury lawyers, we see firsthand the serious and traumatic injuries that our clients have suffered. When people ask us why we became lawyers, most already assume it’s for our own financial benefit. While there are lawyers out there who view clients as paychecks, we see them as individuals going through the worst times of their lives. We became lawyers to make a difference in the lives of those who

Medical Malpractice

Communication about medical errors and medical malpractice litigation, P.1
